GAIA sees it as its responsibility to protect your privacy. Our privacy policy is explained in this statement.

GAIA is an association, Chamber of Commerce number 28082160, with its registered office in Leiden. GAIA is responsible for the processing of personal data as stated in the current privacy statement.

Processing of personal data

GAIA processes personal data of members. The personal data that are used are:

  • First and last name
  • Address data
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Profession and / or position
  • Date of birth

Special and/or sensitive personal information

    Personal data, other than the aforementioned is not collected.

    GAIA does not collect personalized information when a user visits the website.

Objective of the processing of personal data

GAIA processes personal data for the following purposes:

  • Informing about activities for members;
  • Sending newsletters specifically for GAIA members;
  • Answering correspondence from GAIA members;
  • Informing about current development specifically for GAIA members.

GAIA processes personal data, in cases where:

  • Processing is necessary to implement an agreement to which the data subject is party;
  • Processing is necessary to comply with a legal obligation;
  • Data subject has given permission for the processing.

GAIA does not use your personal data for any purpose other than that for which it was made available.

Terms of personal data storage

    GAIA does not store personal data for longer than necessary.

    We delete your personal data when you deregister as a member.

Sharing of personal data with third parties

GAIA only provides personal data to third parties insofar this is necessary for:

  • the performance of any agreement,
  • in order to comply with a legal obligation, or
  • with the consent of the person concerned.

Cookies or similar technologies

GAIA website does not use cookies or similar technologies.

Right to access and rectification of personal data, to be forgotten & restrictions of processing


GAIA respects all the rights granted to the concerned under the Implementation Act General Data Protection Regulation.

The person concerned has the right to inspect the personal data that is processed. Moreover, the person concerned has the right to rectification, oblivion of the processed personal data or to a limitation of the processing thereof.

GAIA respects and facilitates all rights that the data subject has under the Implementation Act General Data Protection Regulation.

The person concerned may submit a request for access to, rectification, deletion or transfer of personal data as well as a request for limiting the processing of these data. Such a request can be sent to info@gaia-netwerk.nl.

In case that the concerned believes that GAIA is not processing personal data correctly and, after having submitted a request as stated above, the concerned has the right to file a complaint to the Dutch Data Protection Authority in The Hague.

Security of personal data

GAIA takes the protection of personal data seriously. We take all the appropriate measures to prevent abuse, loss, unauthorized access, unauthorized use and unauthorized disclosure.
