GAIA is a network for women in the Earth Sciences. The network offers women with an Earth Science or science background, career or interest an opportunity to meet and network and supports women in their career development. The term earth sciences includes the fields of geology, physical geography, hydrology, geochemistry, geophysics, petroleum engineering, ground water and atmosphere, soil science and environmental science.
As a member of GAIA, you will be receiving the GAIA-newsletter's with announcements for activities and vacancies. Through activities and LinkedIn, you can get in touch with other women from the earth sciences and be notified for relevant job opportunities. GAIA organizes activities such as networking dinners, lectures and presentations. Furthermore you can participate in workshops and courses in fields like career development etc. Finally, once a year you will have the opportunity to take a tour to an interesting geoscientific location. By becoming a member of GAIA you support GAIA to achieve its goals.
Our membership contribution is €28,50 per calander year (January - December).
For students and people who do not have a job, we have a reduced contribution of €14,25.
Ending your membership can be done by sending an email (<--click) before 1st of December.
