Since the foundation of the GAIA Ambassadors Network ten organisations have made up the network. The involvement of executives is an important prerequisite for turning gender-conscious policy into actual changes on the work place, which are visible in practice and become common in all layers of the organisation. Therefore, of the participating organisations both an ambassador (official representative of the organisation, often director or dean) and a contact person (female employee and GAIA-member) are part of GAN, therein supported by an HR consultant working in the field of diversity- or personnel policy.
