APRIL event: What world do we want? by Evert Slob

Prof. dr. ir. Evert Slob kicked-off our webinar series on 'Men advocating change' with a very provocative interactive webinar: ”What world do we want?”.
The webinar took place on the 20th of April 2021 and it was sponsored by GAIA and EAGE.
The one-hour interactive session explored questions on what we need and can do ourselves to change our society to make it a better place for all of us than it is today. It started with awareness of our internal values, the roles we play, the hidden yet systematic, abundant and diverse forms of violence against women and how to diversify ourselves to make the sexist inside us disappear.

Prof. Evert Slob is a professor of geophysical electromagnetic methods and director of studies of Applied Earth Sciences in the Department of Geoscience & Engineering at TU Delft. His current research interests are advanced processing, imaging and inversion techniques for electromagnetic diffusive and wave fields with applications in monitoring geothermal energy production, subsurface storage and production cycles of fuels and fluid waste repositories.

Evert’s contributions go beyond his research. He has a mindset of service and has exemplified this mindset in many different ways.
